Dawn Marie Sithian, M.S. CCC/SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in pediatric and adult feeding and swallowing disorders. Dawn has been helping children and adults with a variety of speech/language and feeding/swallowing impairments for over 18 years in the hospital setting as well as privately. She was employed by New York Presbyterian hospital for over a decade evaluating and treating patients of all ages. Dawn has received extensive training at Morgan Stanley Children’s hospital of New York Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center located in New York City. Dawn is trained in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (NICU through adults) and in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing in the adult population. She completed FEEST training at Columbia University Medical Center under the training of Dr. Jonathan Aviv, MD, FACS and Thomas Murray PhD CCC/SLP. She received a Certificate of Clinical Enhancement in the Area of assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She is trained in NOMA’s, the SOS approach to feeding therapy and is PROMPT+ trained. She is also the recipient of the ASHA ACE award in 2007 and 2011. Dawn has provided training to colleagues and students throughout her career and she has also been a clinical supervisor for graduate students from several Colleges and Universities. Dawn is Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and she is licensed to practice in the state of New York. Dawn is now focusing on private clients in New York City and in the Westchester area.
